With this app you will be able to examine and inspect all three axis which will not allow any vibrations to escape your testing. You will be able to see, measure and record the strength of the vibrations in real time on the device. You will see the minimum and maximum values displayed for each axis. The values are in easy to understand digital numbers from zero up to +3.0g’s and down to -3.0g’s. The app zeros itself each time when you start recording. So, the values you get are always easy to read actual plus or minus from zero! No decoding or tare of gravity is necessary! You can select from sample rates as fast as 100 times per second (100Hz) to as slow as just once per second (1Hz). You can start and stop the inspection easily as needed. There is no setup required. You simply place your iPhone where you wish to record vibrations, select your sample rate and slide the switch on. Its that easy! The directions, and tips of course, are included in the app for your success.

The data you see in real time is simultaneously saved to a file for you to export via email. There is a counter to keep track of how many samples have been recorded in the file. The file format is of the comma separated type. The data lines up in columns, one for each of the three axis monitored by the accelerometer. Each sample taken by the app has three values. A value for the X, Y and Z axis which line up in rows for that sample. The file data is then easily imported to Excel or a similar program for graphing and charting as necessary to fit your needs. When charted, the 100Hz sample rate will reveal the frequency of the vibration as well.

While it is certainly not limited to, this application has been especially designed for use in detecting excessive vibrations on sophisticated radio controlled multi copters. So, if you are building your own or servicing a ready to fly machine, this application is an invaluable tool to have! Multi copters must be as free from vibration as possible.
